Would definitely recommend this to anyone with a GPS, you don't have to get those circle marks on your window any longer. Definitely keeps my GPS solid on the dash.
It doesn't move at all while I'm driving, and it makes it easy to remove the GPS and put it in the trunk while not in use, so it isn't visible to would-be thieves. This really works well.
I think this would be a great item for other GPS that have a taller mount because the friction pad seems like it would stay on your dash really well. The newer TomTom GPS have a shorter windshield mount that doesn't allow them to fit inside the dash pad properly. But for my purposes, it wouldn't work and have to give it 2 stars. I purchased this for use with the TomTom XL 340-S that I bought at the same time. It was recommended by Amazon as an accessory, but didn't work.
My TomTom stays right where I want it and I can store it all away out of sight for security. This product is very convenient.
This one is larger than the Garmin brand one my husband uses for his Garmin gps, but it still works just as well, and this one is cheaper=) It didn't move at all on my dash board, so I was completely happy with it. Just so that you see the differences for yourself. I purchased this mount for a Magellan GPS system and it worked great. I will post pictures of this one compared to the Garmin brand one soon. I love that this one can be used on almost anything with a suction cup and the Garmin doesn't work for anything but Garmin gps systems. I mounted it with no problems at all. It's just a matter of suctioning your GPS system to the mount, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist.
